Inspired by the historic coast of Greece and Italy, this piece depicts a peaceful home where the Spirit is. Based on Galatians 5: 22-23 and the coastal region's rich culture, this scene of symbols were comprised represent each of the fruits of the Spirit. After layers of experimenting with light, shadow, textures, these decorative posters, this is the final result!

Combining the timeless art of Relief Sculpture and the recently popularized Found Art, I created this Cardboard Relief Sculpture. One way I was stretched through this project was the stratification of each layer. Instead of attaching each piece individually, I organized and grouped different layers based on the distance in perspective.
For this project, I wanted to better understand the way two-dimensional art can be brought into the third. Starting with ten basic shapes with various overlaps, I cut them out and attached them to black paper to figure out how they interact within layers. Following the layer layout, I created a 3-story architectural model out of foam core. Through this process, I’ve gained a strong understanding of how two dimensional shapes can relate in the 3-D space!

To understand, light, shadow, and reflection, I was tasked to use regular and white charcoal to sketch reflective pots and pans, glass bottles, and draping fabric. After completing these studies, the knowledge I gained helped me to create the following scene of a woman baking bread!

Parrots are vibrant and unfettered creatures. To capture that essence, I compiled squares, circles, and triangles to reimagine this beautiful bird into a simplistic symbol. If the world was simplified to 2-D shapes tomorrow, I would be the proud owner of a parrot!

Inspired by the beautiful Calla lily and a love of the sea, I hand-built this abstract ceramic piece. Created to be versatile visually and functionally, it looks floral yet aquatic and is used to hold both flowers and light!

Shellter explores the balance between vulnerability and protection through the symbolism of a small fawn resting inside a seashell transformed into a miniature forest. Every material was chosen intentionally—from the reclaimed paintbrush bristles forming grass to the handcrafted trees—to reinforce the idea that healthy boundaries create space for life to flourish. Inspired by Psalm 46, the piece reflects my belief that true shelter is found in God's strength, inviting viewers to consider how structure, trust, and grace allow us to grow even in a broken world.
